Description
“City of Serpents” by Chris Josh is a gripping memoir like no other. From the beginning of his life, Chris was dealt a bad hand: conceived amidst the Lebanese civil war, he was forced to dodge bullets from the womb. Betrayal, bullying, undiagnosed neurodevelopmental disorders, victimization by narcissists, and severe forms of mental, physical, and emotional abuse—you name it, Chris experienced it all. His future was sealed: imprisonment or death, either by his own hands or someone else’s.
Chris tasted every toxic ingredient that would guarantee a future as a psychopath. No one could have predicted that he would one day be an empath, humble enough to give God all the credit.
The Intensity of this memoir surpasses the striking artwork on the cover and the rawness of the title. What makes it even more special is that it doubles as a self-help book to inspire readers from all walks of life to overcome trauma, rise above toxic and chaotic upbringings, defy stereotypes, break negative generational cycles, and maintain faith in God.
In a world where hurt people are destined to hurt other people forever, you’ll find the key to breaking this curse within the gates of the City of Serpents.

Beautiful book!! Looking forward to reading it. Chris josh reels have helped me so much in my healing journey ! He is amazing and so divinely connected
I've only read intro and first chapter so far. I been so busy with life problems that I don't have much me time. So far can definitely relate! I grew up in a toxic family. Older brother that was pampered and I got what was left, most times nothing. No dad or guidance figure! My mom also had belt selection and used them till shecouldn't swing anymore from getting tired. At 13 I got smart and started stealing them from her. It's funny she couldn't afford to give me things a child needed but she could always buy new belts! I want to thank you for sharing. You've been inspiring with your words of understanding and encouragement! I'm older than you and have been on this endless road to recovery and you have been fuel to continue my path of healing. Keep up the good work!!!
Reading this book, I found myself relating to your life of pain and suffering. The emotions you experienced as you were working through to understand the lesson and still staying aligned with God and his teachings. The mentality you developed from these lessons are the same I have formed myself of the my lifetime of hurt and pain. Thank you for being vulnerable in your suffering. I smile, for I know, someone in the world has my same beliefs of trying to make the world a better place because of all the suffering they had to endure. I know the world would be a better place if we all could share our pain as you have. God Bless your heart 💖
Thanks for Sharing your story!
