Self-Respect: Why It Matters To You

Self-Respect: Why It Matters To You

Written by Chris Josh

Self-respect is about valuing who you are and treating yourself with kindness. It means making choices that are good for you and saying “no” to things that aren’t.

When you respect yourself, you feel good inside and know you deserve the best.

Having self-respect helps you stand tall and face challenges. It’s like wearing a superhero shield that protects you from mean words or bad behavior from others.

It also helps you make friends who treat you kindly because they see you respect yourself. To build self-respect, take care of your body by eating healthy and staying active.

Take care of your feelings by speaking up when something isn’t right. And don’t forget to dream big and believe in yourself.

Self-respect is the key to a happy, strong life. When you respect yourself, the world around you becomes a better place too.

Start today—you’re worth it and you matter!

I was raised to always be kind to others, but I never was very kind to myself. I always felt I had to prove that I was worthy working in a male dominated field. The funny thing is it was never the men that were a problem, but it was the women in nearby departments – HA!
Thank you for posting this. This is my 1st blog that I have read from you, and it is awesome!

Whoever this “Jess” is – I FINALLY found you. I had heard you had been copying the things I comment and repost it, as if it is yours.
LOL!!! There is no such thing as “perfect” peace. You do realize that no author is going to like that a plagiarizer or “copycat” is in their midst, right?
@TheChrisJosh, I would get rid of “Jess” being around you or having access to anything you do, if you can. She is an enemy to me and will be an enemy to you. She is a nasty covert narcissist.
I have no idea who she is. No one speaks the way she does around me, but that comment about love and peace is from me. It is all over YouTube, I can prove it.
Please be careful, @TheChrisJosh.

It boils down to dignity. Holding oneself precious allowing not one person nor situation defiling the body, mind.spirit and or soul God has gifted you with. We are, by free will choice, choose the paths we journey on. Each of us a masterpiece of fine art, there comes a time to frame your masterpiece and there are only two choices. Darkness or LIGHT. I CHOSE LIGHT.
Thanks Chris, I send you love and perfect peace.

WOW! Thank you very very much for “digging deep” with your nurishing material. Blessed with meeting you on Facebook, and now I cannot go a day without recieving more data to help me to be more, so to be more to others. Understanding the “why,” has opened doors for a better life. What I love the most is that you bring Christ into your material, He is everything. You and God are a “real” team. Thank you, and God Bless you!!! Keep on keeping on. I am blessed. Merry Christmas.
