Gossip is when someone talks about others behind their backs. It can happen to you too.
Many times, gossip will hurt feelings and spread untrue stories.
Keep in mind, that friend, relative, or partner of yours who's talking about someone else, will talk about you too!
So, how do you deal with it?
First, remember this: gossip says the person spreading gossip can't be trusted.
If someone gossips, it usually means they're unhappy or jealous. Honestly, it's best you either cut them off or limit communication with that person.
Second, don’t join in the gossip - no matter what. If people start gossiping, you can change the subject or walk away. That shows strength and respect for yourself.
Third, speak kindly. Instead of spreading bad words, choose to lift others up. When you use kind words, people will notice.
And last, protect your peace and energy. Focus on your goals, your growth, and the people who truly care about you.
When you deal with gossip the right way, you stay strong, positive, and free of the drama.
Always remember this: you're better than gossip!
