Why You Should Never Reveal Too Much: The Power of Privacy in Personal Relationships

It’s never a good idea to share too many details about yourself to anyone because it can always backfire and be used against you later. That person who seems sweet and innocent can one day use any information you gave them to destroy you from within.

Sadly, we live in a world of phony people wearing masks, pretending to be someone they’re not. And we can spend many years with a relative, friend, or partner and be fooled into believing the narrative they’ve given us about themselves. Only to find out one day it was all a facade.

Whether you’re a man or woman, it’s best you don’t over share personal information. You gain absolutely nothing by doing so. There's no upside - it's all downside.

Remember, conniving people rarely come to you with a menacing look on their face. Instead, they usually bear a friendly, harmless smile.

This doesn’t mean you should be highly skeptical of everyone or to isolate yourself. It just means you are cognizant of what details you share with others and you protect yourself from potential harm.

If you have something about yourself that you know you should keep to yourself, but you have this great urge to tell someone, grab a piece of paper and a pen, and write it out as if you’re telling someone. This will help you get it out of your system.

I highly recommend you tell no one, including your partner, if possible, things like your social security number, bank and credit card numbers either. Why? Because if you end cutting them off one day because of maltreatment, he or she can retaliate against you and ruin you financially. Something you do not want to experience!

Thank you. Your words are always inspiring! I have already bought two of your books. I can understand your choice for being so positive to get your life in order. We all have choices in life,to either sit and do nothing or get up and do something. What we choose depends on the stamina we have to live!
May God bless and protect you for all your wonderful advises!
