Why You Feel Anxious When Things Are Finally Good

Why You Feel Anxious When Things Are Finally Good

Written by Chris Josh

Here’s something strange you’ve probably never understood about yourself.

When things are good, you sometimes (or most of the time) get nervous.

The relationship is going well and, for some odd reason, you’re waiting for it to fall apart.

Life is calm? It feels too good to be true. And you might think, “Uh oh! Something bad is coming! I just know it.”

Or you finally get a little peace, and instead of enjoying it, you brace yourself and tense up all your muscles.

You’re not crazy. And you’re not ungrateful... Here’s the real reason this happens.

If you lived through a lot of chaos, your body learned something. It learned that calm doesn’t last.

That the quiet moments were usually right before the yelling, the leaving, and/or the next bad thing to come along.

So your body stopped trusting peace. And instead, it started treating calm like a warning sign of bad things about to happen.

That’s why good can sometimes feel scary. It’s not that you can’t be happy. It’s that your nervous system is still protecting you from a danger that has already passed.

But you’re safe now. And the thing you must always keep at the forefront of your mind is: what you assume influences outcomes!

So stop assuming the worst and start assuming and trusting that all is well from here on out - in each and every moment.

The calm you feel isn’t the quiet before the storm. Sometimes the calm is just...well, calm. You’re allowed to let life be good.

The fact that you’re reading this means that you’re meant to enjoy your peace moving forward. The past will not repeat itself, unless you assume it will!

Stop saying, "I know something bad is about to happen," and instead say, "I know I am protected, guided and highly favored. I know I am safe now. I know this is my time to experience life in peace, joy, and prosperity."

You don’t have to brace anymore, because now you know how powerful your thoughts, words, knowings, beliefs, and assumptions are.

Control those for a greater life experience.

Little by little, you can teach your body a new truth... that good things are allowed to stay and that you’re meant to live in peace, joy, and prosperity.

Why not you??? You deserve it all. Look at the work and effort you've put into yourself! You're shining like a bright star. 🌟
