I’m sure you’ve heard it before, “never chase, attract.” Well, that depends. If you’re an attractive woman, that’s going to work. Meaning, you won’t need to lift a finger to attract someone. Likewise, if you’re an attractive man because you’re high status, you’ll attract people easier than, say, someone who’s a drunk sleeping on the sidewalk.
However, regardless of your ability to attract, there should always be an equal give and take. And that leads me to the main point of this blog.
Some people will intentionally love bomb you and show you lots of interest when you first meet them. And you might think that they’re a nice person. However, some of these people are devious - not all, but some.
Their strategy is to love bomb you during your first interaction so that you sort of put them on a pedestal and therefore seek them out the next time you see them. They will make you feel you’re being validated and admired, but the truth is, they’re trying to hook you.
You may get a lot of attention and that person sees this. By implementing this strategy, they get to be seen conversing with you and they get you to basically fall in love with them as a friend.
You might ask, “Chris, that’s not a bad thing!” It’s not if they stay consistent. However, some of these people will pull back their energy in order to get you to chase them around and seek their validation and admiration. Beware of these types of people. They are not genuine and they like to play games. Personally, I cut people off like this immediately.
