3 Things to Do When Someone Makes You Feel Small

3 Things to Do When Someone Makes You Feel Small

Written by Chris Josh

Maybe they talked down to you and laughed at you.

And maybe they made you feel like you don't matter.

Here's what to do.

First off, don't shrink... Stand up real straight.

Take a nice long deep breath. Remember this - your body talks to your brain.

When you hold yourself tall, you'll automatically start to feel tall.

Second, don't argue with them in your head. Don't waste your brain's resources and your energy on them.

You don't need to win a fight with someone who doesn't respect you. Just simply take your energy back.

This is the undiluted truth: their opinion of you is not the truth about you.

Third, remind yourself who you are. Say it. "I matter. I'm enough. And I know my worth!"

Say it until you start to feel it.

Nobody can make you feel small without your permission. Never forget that.

You're not small and you never were.

Stand tall. You belong here and you always will!
